The biggest thing that wows people at trade shows are the demos for fantastic new projects, when we don't get that and only get the small incremental updates of known projects or demos of smaller projects that are likely to release soon, suddenly we talk about how their conference was a letdown. In response they get in a habit of taking risks by announcing projects without knowing what production will even look like, just because they know fans will talk about it, and that improves their brand recognition.

Well I don't like it, I always prefered Bethesda approach, last year before E3 we knew nothing and then they end up showing WFII/EV2 and those games released the same year. They did it before (basically) with Fallout 4. This year again we don't know what they will show us at E3 but I am pretty sure we will see most announcements release this year.
