Hopefully not, this console generation could go on way longer than just 6 years, I think it should really change when PC hardware gets it's next massive boost, and when they can run 4k60FPS in an open world game for a cheap price.
Really wouldn't matter to me since I don't buy Sony products anyways as I prefer Microsoft's online titles, and Nintendo's single player/co-op titles. So really wouldn't matter if they went to 2019 as I would be getting an Xbox One X and a 4k TV at that time.
