I give this rumour roughly a 0.1% chance of being true.

(Then again, I also gave my football club FcBasel a 0.1% chance of winning the CL game against Manchester City, in Manchester. And lol what happened last evening...)
The basic reason why there won't be a PS5 in early 2019 is very simple. All chips would have long been ordered by now. And such huge chip orders would send shockwaves through the semiconductor community. They also trace every shipment of cpu parts to Indian test sites, for example. Said community has not heard a peep. This kills any early 2019 rumours right out of the gate.

PS5 fully backward compatible with PS1...PS4? Forget that right away. Unlike Microsoft, Sony does not have the manpower to write such software (which is considerably more complex than the X360 bc software due to the Cell).
Also an 8core Zen+ is 65-95W. Good luck marrying this with a 10TF AMD gpu which draws another 200+W.
