Can Sony afford to make PS5 more expensive than PS4 launch price?

I think us enthusiast gamers would get the most out of a $500 box that has the best ram,cpu,gpu combination possible. And it would allow Sony to not take much of a loss. But maybe $400 and taking a loss is preferable for Sony but it will just mean we won't see a price drop for a while.
