-I thought Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn would get more games than this new PlayStation thing because SNES and Sega Genesis got so many games… Kid me just did not understand the world in that way…

-I thought the GameCube sold much more than the N64 because of how much larger the game library was and how popular the GameCube was at the college I went to… Oh how antidotal evidence did clash with thine sales websites I would see many years later…

-I thought the Wii would revolutionize games in meaningful nuanced and totally deep gameplay incorporating motions to augmented actions in a way that was fluid and totally awesome… (While the Wii did have good games) Waggle slapped my imagination upside the brain…  :/

-In 2005, I thought the existence of the PSP was pointless because of the kinds of games it played, the GB/GBC/GBA/DS (and the GameGear) was handheld gaming as I knew it up to that point… 2010 me would discover a massive catalog of PSP games I bought and thoroughly enjoyed making it my largest game collection for any system I have ever owned to this day… :)

-I thought PS3 would have a library of games similar to the PS2 and PS1 (oh assumptive logic :/ )… Yea, my PS3 played more PS1/PS2 discs that I bought after 2006, than PS3 discs…

-I thought PS Vita would have a better library than PSP because the hardware addressed a lot of the PSP’s issues and was going to be a full realization of what the PSP intended to be… The way Sony handled the Vita at E3, etc. after launch, lack of marketing, game droughts, etc. truly wronged us all… Most squandered console potential ever!

(Nintendo Switch redeemed the Portable Full Console Gaming Dream, after Sony threw it under the bus, and stomped on it will all that Doubt and Shade. It is kind of nice that Nintendo is showing Sony what sweet excellent success the Vita could have been)

Well… Now that I have typed all of this out, I realize a lot of my errors have been centered around predicting video game libraries based on the Console's predecessor... X_X
