To me, it looks like vr flopped, and this is just a desperate attempt to get more consumers to buy this thing.

Sorry for the pessimistic view, but I dont think there's another reason why the price has halved only 16 months after release.

It must have flopped and for that reason Sony released a second version and gives constant update saying it is selling over their projection.

Thanks guys. Remember that time I said I was impulsive? Well I'm hooking up my PSVR right now. I almost ended up getting the Skyrim bundle, but for now I just got the standalone VR kit along with the PS Camera and RE7 and GTS. Had no idea it came with a demo so that's cool.

Literally sitting with everything on my floor right now, so this may take awhile to set up. So many cords.

EDIT: Initial impressions are pretty good, but it's a bit difficult to get the perfect position for a crisp image.  I haven't gotten to try any real content yet, however, and I'm not playing in a comfortable position yet (still have a lot of things laid out on the floor. I loaded the demo for a few minutes to try an ocean tour. My four year old loved it (even though it says you must be 12 years or older). Does the camera only track the position of the lights on the headset? It seems like if I turn all the way around it loses me, but I'm not sure if my daughter being in the viewing area caused it.

Once I get her off to bed later tonight, I'm going to turn off the lights, plug in my good headset (I'm hoping any brand headset works), put on a clean pair of underpants (or do I even bother) and play RE7.

Updates, updates, updates...

EDIT 2: One more thing. There are Triangle, Circle, Square, and X marks on the underside of the headset. Are those actual buttons or just a design?

You can try Doom and DC VR versions.

On the crispness you can try 2 another things, you can bring back and forth the visor, the closer usually the better, and you can press the "option" button to recenter the image to your neutral position.
