To me, it looks like vr flopped, and this is just a desperate attempt to get more consumers to buy this thing.
Sorry for the pessimistic view, but I dont think there's another reason why the price has halved only 16 months after release.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
