It depends how NPD count revenue for bundles. Let's say there's a standalone PS4 for $250 and a PS4 bundled with a game for $299, will NPD count each sale of the bundle as only $250 revenue for the PS4 or as $299? If it's the latter then it could be possible that the $999 PS4 VR bundle counts as $999 in revenue for the PS4.

If anyone does know how NPD counts revenue, I'd be interested to know because I can see both methods as possible.

Revenue from 'hard' bundles are counted as console revenue. For example, the MH Pro bundle is a hard bundle so each unit sale equals to $449 in revenue. However, if it is a 'soft' bundle like if Amazon decided to give a copy of MH for only an additional $30 with a PS4, then only the revenue from the PS4 counts. The additional $30 added onto the subtotal will not.

So it boils down to if it's a Sony issued bundle or if it's a retailer promotion. Where does the VR bundle fall? Soft or hard?
