You say that but the Switch's numbers for January in Japan stands at ~320K despite having a one week advantage in comparison to the 3DS's first January which did ~500K ... 

Assuming that the Switch will keep doing 40K for the next 2 weeks that will put the Switch at around ~485K for the first two months of this year while 3DS will have finished with ~820K which is about a 40% deficit ... 

3DS was a beast in 2012 in Japan where it only had one month that fell below 250K while the Switch is going to fall below 200K in the second month of this year ... (Spring/Summer season is going to be even worse) 

Ummm......what does this have to do with anything?

I said Switch wont be down YOY in Japan and you bring up how well 3DS did in 2012?

 

Edit: and why would Spring/Summer be worse? Jan/Feb had very few releases while Spring has a pretty steady flow of new releases coming and we know next to nothing about the summer lineup yet. The things you say are based on delusions.
