To me the game was above average. It is a shooter and looks kind of bleak I guess, but this seems intended to create an atmosphere of hopelessness, imo. It definitely gets more interesting as the game progresses, because you get all the weapons, and you know how Insomniac loves their creative weapons (Ratchet and Clank). All guns have an alt fire, which is a lot of fun. I thought the story was pretty fun, and I actually felt involved, which not all games can do. To me it is very solid with pretty good graphics imo and the little touches that makes Insomniac such a great developer. (Theres this one scene where this one chimaera runs quickly through an intersection and by the time you can react its gone. Another slides out of its hiding spot and starts shooting almost instantly. That part felt like one of those suspense movies. I dunno, I just think the game had personality. I really think you'd be missing out if you didn't at least rent it.
