Well i think the reason soccer isn't that popular in the US is because its not a traditional american sport and as such it'll take a while for it catch on.

Here in Australia soccer used to be considered extremly boring -- untill Australia made the soccer world cup and got moved to the asian competion (previosuly aussie soccer teams played island nations and won like 15 nil... or we played new zealand ... )

The big thing i want to know is why isn't cricket popular in the US. I mean baseball is like a failed attempt to copy cricket... and with the rise of Twenty20 games which only take a few hours, and are pure action theirs no reason for the ICC not to attempt to push the sport in the US... i for one would love to see a yearly Australia-USA one day or test series!

Ohh and for any americans in the thread do americans only watch american football ? What about Rugby Union or Rugby League ?? Union not a bad game though i don't follow it much and league is really an excellent game especially when your watching inform players, like in Australia's State of Origin comp. ( 3 game series between QLD and NSW in the middle of the rugby season )

Lol dont even mention Australia and USA in a cricket match. If USA cant beat Canada they would get destroyed by Australia. Cricket in North America is pointless anyways as the team is made up of immigrants. For example, Canadas team has an Indian wicketkeeper, 2 West Indian fast bowlers, an Aussie Captain, A Kiwi middle order batsmes, and the rest are from South Asia.
