Hopefully it's a bit more polished than LA Noire now that they have more experience with the hardware.

Well according to Digital Foundry, one of the issues with LA Noire is that the original game was one of the few games that really was programmed around the PS3's weirdness and that disentangling it from that was a source of some issues.  If that isn't the case with Dark Souls, perhaps that will make things smoother.
