Well ... as someone who actually does get tired of those pointless Switch threads that repeat what's been said a million times before just to gloat endlessly about a console ... this is actually a pretty meaningful statistic.
First of all, it means that the Switch already has more games that are beloved than the PS4 did in the same time frame. This already puts it at a comfortable spot for those wondering whether or not a first year Switch purchase is right for them. Secondly, having more "quality" games than your competitor is always going to be an important point no matter the circumstance, so I honestly don't see why you think it would be any different in this scenario. Third, think about the implications of this. If Nintendo try even a little bit to keep up some momentum with 90+ games, they will either end the generation near PS4's total amount or even beating it. Simpleton is right here, if someone starts and beats their competitor early than it's a game of catch up for the competitor. PS4 will be hard to beat due to it's tremendous third party support, but Switch is having a good start.
Of course, part of this isn't due to the Switch. Celeste, Steamworld Heist and Shovel Knight, for instance, aren't really products of the Switch's 1st year. The Switch just happened to launch when those titles were already made or closed to finish. But then again, neither are many other games on the PS4's list.
No offense intended but it honestly seems like you're more upset by the result shown than the logic leading to it ... because a list like this is honestly pretty logical. Sure, it comes from a place of bias most likely, but then again so does almost every thread on this site regarding positive news console manufacturers.
