Really? It’s better to play on a small screen with a controller with small buttons? I understand your point about committing hours in front of a TV but I’d rather commit hours in front a TV than commit hours in front of a small screen in small bursts.

I'd wager if you looked at my PS4 playtime something like Rocket League would have maybe 5 hours at most playtime.... the switch version currently heading over the 65 hour mark after double dipping on it, sure the game takes one of the biggest hits in dynamic resolutions ever but still just that ability to take it out while I'm waiting somewhere, hop online, play a 5 min match and pop it back in the bag again is just fantastic for me, if I do power up the PS4 it's going to be for a longer more substantial game, something like rocket league especially imo is just the perfect fit on Switch.

As for small screen and small buttons... my screen setup is either 2x24in PC monitors, 42" TV, 102inch (max space on my wall) Projector and the Switches screen, the thing is... I tend to sit further away from the 42" than I do hold the Switch in my hands, perspective is a thing, I wouldn't enjoy a portable with a 42" screen because I'm not MC Hammer and couldn't pocket it. As for the buttons...

What?

edit - Also 300 hours of Breath of the Wild happened on the machine... which was mostly powered by the game being cut into 120 minidungeons, 900 collectibles, and 4 main story plot dungeons and storylines. The game was just cut up into great 5 minute segments much like the Moons of Mario being more frequent and less substantial than the Stars of Mario 64 but again, designed around pick up, play a bit, pocket it.

So Rocket League doesn’t need good internet to play online? I would have thought that using free wifi around town to play an online game would be very unenjoyable. I’m curious about that.

But for me, playing a game for a few minutes is the equivalent of ordering fries and eating 1 every hour - quite unfulfilling compared to eating the lot / playing for at least 1 hour. But I guess it depends on your lifestyle. Personally, if I have 5 minutes to waste, I just browse the net.
