Well yeah, the games are hot garbage.  Star wars is about engrossing lore and story, not PVP online FPS.

My issue is that the Last Jedi followed suit.  Luke is a coward?  Rey is a nobody?  Kylo is now the Big Bad?  ehhhhh, ok, riiighht.
