Holy Molly your thread is amazing. I think Switch software is selling incredibly well. Kinda sad to see Doom so low, maybe it's undertracked a little hopefully it's passed 250k with digital. But I think the fact it's still full price is hurting the sales. I'm still waiting for a price cut to take the game cause I don't have money for all the games coming out, same for Skyrim and Pokken.

But overall I'm really happy seeing Nintendo make ambitious games and being so well rewarded after. It's going to approve their decisions and I hope they will keep going in the same route. My only concern is seeing Pokémon Switch, I swear everyone will be disappointed. Id rather have a remake of the 4G as the first Switch game so they can concentrate on new assets and pokémons in HD rather than making everything new in 2 years.

Thank you !

About Doom, I think VGC is in the right ballpark with this one. Soon after release, it was out of amazon best sellers in most countries. I think other third party games are most likely to be undertracked such as Xenoverse 2 or LA Noire. Anyway, Doom might be able to sell for a long time even if small numbers as it has no real competition on the system for now. A price drop would help it as well...(that would be when I buy it at least...)

About Pokemon, I am not really a big Pokemon fan (I only played Red and Diamond) but I might give it a go if it is well recieved. I wouldn't worry about development time too much as we don't really know when they did start working on it.

Nintendo first year on switch is amazing. They have published 70% of the game sold on the system. And even if it has been more difficult for third parties (Only Warner Bros with full support and Ubisoft with good AND smart support got good sales on the system), I remain optimistic as third party dev have to release high profile games to get big sales (which has not been the case so far for most).

Yea I also think they are right on with the Doom tracking but you're right, even if it doesn't shows up in the charts, with some time, it will eventually reach some good numbers. And I agree, most third party games on Switch are ports and some really old but they are doing well even tho. So I think they Switch is passing the test for most developers and we will probably start seeing exclusives or more ambitious ports.
