Seems that lot of people forget that PS4 to PS3 is some 8-10x (depending on whether you go by the numbers on paper or what Sony said) with 16x as much RAM.

And that's all for 720p to 1080p which is only 2.25x in pixel count, compared to 1080p to 4K UHD which is 4x.

Much more die shrinks back then though. From the PS3 to the PS4 there were 3 and a half; if the PS4 uses the future 7 nm node (which has nothing of 7 nm in all of them really) that's still only 2 and a half shrinks - and just one and a half from the PS4 pro. And that's on top of increasing chip costs per mm2 and the fact the PS4 had to make a lot of one-time only concessions already to improve its GPU and RAM specs so much from the PS3 (such as a CPU which basically is as powerful as the PS3's Cell).
