THey aren't. They are selling different cards designed for mining on the side. Afaik they aren't selling directly towards crypto currency farms, though retailers are, and AMD/Nvidia do not own those retail chains selling their cards.
Both companies also have vested interests in other forms of technology, such as self driving cars for one example.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
