But the remark was just due to people always assuming that if a game isn't on a system it must have been bought out.

I usually see that remark when it's a 3rd party company only releasing said game towards PS4 and nothing else. 

So you missed the memo that Sony paid Capcom to keep MHW from Switch only, cause of reasons.
