Can't put a number on it but their is a % of webshops/websites that would then redirect you to the Italian website. In theory for example if the next sony conference is in Berlin and you want to book a hotelroom it could mean that the German website asks 80€ for each night while the Italian website asks for the same room 120 €. You can try to hide your IP etc but then when you want to use your Visa etc it will say sorry we can not accept this because it is an Italian card please use the Italian website.
It would be the same if you go busy some food in Canada and have to hear when you check out that you have to pay 50% more because you are from the USA.
