I would rather a supersampled 1440P image. :P

1440P is a 78% pixel increase over 1080P. There is a difference.

My monitor is my primary gaming display, it's a 32" 1440P, IPS panel.
And the reason why I would prefer to use it over a tv is simple. Superior input lag, it will still beat that TCL tv every day of the week.

I also have an LG TV that is bigger and better than that TCL anyway, but I prefer to use that for watching movies and tv.

Regardless, that's really one of biggest gripes with both Premium platforms. 

I agree. They should support all popular 16:9 resolution right out of the box, many games are being rendered at 1440P and would look right at home on a 1440P display.
