I dont think that there will be a Smash game in 2018 either, thats my whole point.

I cant say he is 100% wrong, as he did get some things right. But do you really think the demo booth guy will know the E3 plans so many months in advance?Usually when leaks get things right, its usually when its leaked a few days before said event.Dont gets your hopes up, just saying.

But Nintendo will want to have as many online hits as possible to kickstart their paid service, hence why SSB has to be available. The more incentives there are, the more subscribers there will be.

The demo booth guy has more direct contact to Nintendo than someone like Emily Rogers. I concede that having so much information four months ahead of E3 is suspect, but that doesn't make it impossible. Worth of note is that the demo booth guy doesn't know the entire E3 plans, hence no third party games. The conventional approach to rumors and supposed leaks is to boost the game lists with third party titles.

Well, I guess its possible.I dont think that Smash is really necessary, since the Switch already has some multiplayer heavy games on it, such as Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 and the inevitable Animal Crossing(thats more of a guess that the multiplayer will be more important, but that seems to be the direction where the series is going to).

Plus, alongside the more attractive price to soothe people in the service, there must be a reason that Nintendo delayed the service for so long.It could very well have been the lack of a compelling game to launch alongside it, but I think they were revamping core concepts of the service, and these concepts could be compeling on its own.Just to throw some examples of what that could be:A better reward system, in which we get more games every month that was initially promised, deals that extend not only to first party, but third party as well, and have different deals each month.Launch it alongside Virtual Console, and give ample advantages for those that have the online service.

Just call me skeptical.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
