They already have their play anywhere program within their own ecosystem. Having Steam would mean gutting Steam inside out, taking everything they have and taking out what they find undesirable and tossing it into their own ecosystem. That to me isn't a good idea and it'll only serve to push people like me away from MS, as well as a blow to what I consider a good store as well as my library of games.
YEah, but MS doesn't need Steam in the console space on their side. They don't need to gut the PC space to add to their console side.
