I can concede that capitalism is better than the bureaucratic dictatorships that tried to call themselves socialist or communist while pissing on the fundamental principles of socialism and communism.
Unlike other socialists, I won't call the USSR/Maoist-PRC "state-capitalist." They were the inevitable conclusion of state-socialist praxis, dictatorships of the bureaucrats, and any socialist who defends them is doing something very horrible, in my opinion. Nobody should unironically defend Stalin, Mao, Chavez, Maduro, Che Guevara, Pol Pot, etc.
The whole point of socialism is to achieve more autonomy and control over one's life, not less. Yet state-socialists never seem to understand that. They're too dogmatic.
