Why does Nintendo share more sales figures than PS4 and X-Box 1 and third parties?

Why doesn't everyone else? Why would they? What is your pitch for why it is beneficial for them to take this step? If you're an employee there, what rationale are you using to explain to your bosses why this step is necessary?
