Huh? They're a gaming store so selling more consoles leads to people buying more software? Most games are still released physically on Xbox One as far as I know and people will still buy them.
I can understand if they keep the stock low but if a customer wants to buy a console they should at least offer to order more stock. Otherwise it's just bad customer service and that's not good for business. Not to mention a gaming shop that refuses to sell consoles is ridiculous..
