One thing for certain is Switch has already followed a much different trajectory than 3DS. 3DS had a disaster launch and needed an $80 price cut, while Switch sold at its original MSRP throughout the entirety of 2017 and even won December in the U.S. against discounted PS4 and Xbox One. its looking good for switch, but 3ds price cut doesn't really mean anything, ds sold at 129.99 in its first year and kept on selling till 155 million, with out any more price cuts.
