I can see that, but I guess I just try not to do that myself. If I buy into something and it doesn't meet my expectations I'll warn others away.
Using your explanation though wouldn't the overwhelming amount of reviews for larger ticket items be good? Do you think this only applies to big ticket items or that the same psychological processes come into play on cheaper items?
