This is the very first mistake. No, it's not. It get's the attraction of many people that aren't in any kind of gaming forum at all and often aren't into video games that much. Which is what people in the forums totally ignore.

It's for kids as well as adults that like to play and maybe tinker with stuff.

You are confusing niche as a category of a market and niche as exclusively small demographics
