Switch versions of games are more expensive, but not for the reason that you think.
Puyo Puyo Tetris. On PS4 the game costs $29.99, but on Switch it's $39.99. Rime. on Switch cost $40, compared to $30 for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Since I'm the only one posting irrefutable factual evidence here, let me just say no one else cared to consider the cost of a cartridge. Blu-Ray discs has quite a bit of production hubs you can get it done by, but proprietary production factories for cartridges are not so common. |
But what exactly few of your examples proof, you do realise that all you are examples are exceptions!? Are you really trying to say that games for Switch would had lower price point than PS4/XB1 if Switch games are not or cartridges!? Talking about price of cartridges (flash memory), Vita/3DS games are on cartridges and their price point is $40 compared to $60 on home consoles.
Like wrote, fact is that regular price point for AAA game on Wii/PS3/360/WiiU was $60, now its same price point for PS4/XB1/Switch. Again, with your point on mind, why same games on XB1 dont have lower price point compared to PS4, or why same games on Pro/X dont have higher price point compared to PS4/XB1, simple beacuse graphics/performance of multiplatform games never effects on price point of those games.
