No, it would flop hard. Like, Sony, or at least PlayStation, going out of business-hard. I highly doubt VR will ever be mainstream like 'regular' gaming is, not until they find a way to get rid of the brick on your head and the resulting isolation, sickness, eye strain and other problems (ie. invent the Holodeck, which won't ever happen).
