A new Destiny 2 Faction Rally got underway yesterday, and once again an unfathomable decision by Bungie has alienated and angered players. The problem this time is a throttle on faction tokens, the little markers of success that are earned by completing various in-game activities. Tokens are converted to engrams that decrypt into arms, armor, and cosmetics, and also determine the ultimate winner of the rally—whoever collects the most is the best—and Bungie has decided to put a very tight limit on the rate at which they can be earned.

Epic casts doubt on the future of Paragon as developers are moved to Fortnite

The battle royale/survival game Fortnite appears to be doing very well for itself, which is good news for developer Epic Games. It's not good for fans of Epic's free-to-play MOBA Paragon, however. In a very frank Reddit post, community coordinator Edgar Diaz acknowledged that updates to the game have slowed, in part because a number of Paragon developers have been shifted to Fortnite.

The free-to-play digital card game Magic: The Gathering Arena will have two in-game currencies, Wizards of the Coast revealed today: Gold, earned through gameplay, and Gems, which will be purchasable with real money. Gems can be used in place of gold to speed things along, principal designer Chris Clay explained in a blog post, but while there may some cosmetic items that are restricted to real-money purchases, "there won't be any gameplay content that can only be unlocked with real money."
