That's a tough one. So far I would have to say Super Mario Odyssey but I still haven't played Xenoblade 2 or Mario + Rabbids (About to start a playthrough). I just love the design of the worlds in Mario Odyssey and platforming is sublime. Actually,  despite many going crazy over BotW,  Mario beat out BotW in many GotY awards. 

 

One that I looked at was Dunkeys. He is not IGN or anyone official,  but certainly surprised me when he picked Mario. 

I assume you are talking about Videogamedunkey? I've seen youtubers all pick either between Mario Odyssey and BOTW but the one that surprised me was when ACG gave his GOTY to Mario + Rabbids.
