"Gaming journalism" sucks. The inability of most game journalists to be critical - as well as the inability of many gamers to engage in critical thought concerning their beloved games - is one of the primary things holding back video games as a medium. I, for one, think this guy has the right idea.



"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
