8800 GTs are going for $159 on newegg right now, and one of those has a $30 mail-in-rebate. You're insane if you spend $250 on an 8800 GT.

MSRP is $249. I've put the MSRP for all the cards listed - you will be able to find a 4850 for much less than given too, for example. If I went and checked street prices, I couldn't co,mpare tham to the new cards because they don't have street prices yet.

Usually not until a few months after they're released, and mass supply has been established.  The 8800 GT was going for $300 for several weeks because people were buying them up like crazy at that price.  I highly doubt you're going to find a 4850 for $100 for quite some time.

 No-one really knows what the supply situation is going to be. I'm going to leave it, and possibly back-edit it if it becomes  really out of date. As always, if you're going to base your purchasing decisions on what a random high-school-age AMD  fanboy has posted, then you should check the prices yourself.
