The simple answer is no.

Sony has shown they aren't able to compete with Nintendo in the handheld space (which is what a hybrid is really). Even with the PSP selling 80 million, it was trashed by the DS's 150 million. The Vita was a flop I'm sure Sony wants to just forget about. It couldn't even touch the 3DS despite being Nintendo's worst selling handheld.

Sony's issue has been the same as everyone else's who has tried to take on Nintendo. They try to make a little beefcake that lacks the functionality of Nintendo's devices. I assume a Playstation Switch would try to be more powerful than the Switch, but by doing so it will be more expensive and may run into other issues such as heating. Sony's consumers expect Playstation to be a power console, so they'll see it as Sony's stepping back. Sony also has a weak first party line up so they may struggle to launch their system (this was a major reason the Vita died. Developers supported the 3DS which left Vita with nothing).

I don't see a scenario where a Playstation Switch would be successful.
