That depends on how much it cost Sony to make each PS4 now. they stand to make more from having more consoles out there than from whatever they may be making on each console sold selling it at $250.
But you are right. being that most of the PS4s still have a retail price of $299. only uncharted and cod bo3 bundles are at $249
