Good to see MS finally working on a new IP.

Well they funded numerous this gen and Sea of Thieves is a thing happening.

True. MS unfairly gets criticized for not making new IPs. They've been the second best when it comes to adding new IPs to their catalogue this gen. It's the 3rd parties that are really lagging.

Nintendo: (I’ll count both WiiU and Switch games cause Nintendo can use the help…)

Splatoon

The Wonderful 101

Arms

1-2 Switch

EA:

Titanfall

Unravel

Anthem

Activision:

Destiny

?

Ubisoft:

The Crew

Watch Dogs

For Honor

Steep

Child of Light

MS Studios:

Quantum Break

Recore

Sea of Thieves

Crimson Dragon

Ori and the Blind Forest

Screamride

KALIMBA

***They also funded a couple new IPs that they don’t own like Ryse and Sunset Overdrive.

Sony:

Bloodborne

Horizon Zero Dawn

The Last Guardian

Detroit: Become Human

Dreams

Until Dawn

Driveclub

The Order 1886

Knack

Death Stranding

Days Gone

Ghost of Tsushima

Concrete Genie

The Tomorrow Children

What Remains of Edith Finch

Everybody's gone to the Rapture

Drawn to Death

Kill strain

Alienation

Matterfall

Bound

Helldivers

Resogun

Hohokum

Guns Up

Entwined

CounterSpy

Here They Lie

The one thing I can say though is that the new IPs MS created were early on, the latest entry on that list is Sea of Thieves which was announced at E3 2015 over 2 and half year ago, since then nothing. One can assume that these new IPs were in production before Phil took over, and since he's become the head of xbox new IPs have ceased to exist. I really don't understand why this guy has fanboys when he's clearly putting his efforts into the wrong places and ignoring the thing us core gamers really want which is games and new IPs. Instead he's more interested in backwards compatibility and has cancelled more games than he's green lit.
