It's a fair point. Vita has some really cool features and pretty advanced innards. I'm glad to own one.

That said, for me personally, a lot of those features remain unused. For me, a video game system is there to play video games. The rest is gravy.

I don't think I ever used streaming services or even the browser on Vita. I basically turned it on, loaded a game, played that game, then turned it off.

However, there are a few points where Vita scores huge points over Switch. The PS1/PSP back catalog on Vita is great. I own a system where I can play Final Fantasy I-IX on the go, which is pretty awesome. Nintendo needs to bring VC to Switch already.

Messages and voice chat. Why is this not on Switch? I can't schedule a gaming session, or even say "hi." It's weird.

But apart from VC and voice chat/messages, I don't find a lot missing from Switch. I guess for me the most important "feature" of a gaming system is its games, so I'm willing to forgive Nintendo's hybrid for missing folders or Netflix or Bluetooth, etc.
