how do you say 2018 suffered...? as in as a past tense... we are still on 2018... actually first month of the year.... and you already decided it suffered? |
When talking about the first quarter of the year, for sure yeah.Second quarter could still change, but the biggest title announced from Nintendo there that I can see happening is FE, with maybe a second party thrown there for good measure, like Octopath traveler(which would be beyond awesome).
Nintendo certainly made an effort to speed up development for games to be released on 2017 to make it look extremely attractive.XC 2 could have used an extra 2 months in development to iron out the performance and minor bugs for example. But since they needed that stellar year, they pushed the title for 2017, which otherwise could have been a late January/February title for example.Splatoon 2 didnt have huge changes compared to the first game when it first launched, and could have used an extra 6 months to 1 year making new modes or just expanding the campaign to make it feel ore unique.
Nintendo had no choice, and I can completely understand.Im not bashing the company, Im just making an observation.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
