How many exclusives would PS have if we take away major third party support? A lot of console exclusives on PS are made by third parties after all, and not Sony themselves (Persona 5, Nier: Automata, Nioh, Until Dawn, etc.)

Would those games still be made if PS4 didn't sell a lot?

And the PS4 has sold a lot because of the wide variety of quality games which includes exclusives.  Content is King.  Always has, and apparently always will.
