Damn.

Can get another YoY improvement??? haha

It would be cool seeing 6 years of data where it's increased every year.

Interesting. They had a somewhat weaker holiday season than last year, so it was improved sales in the other months that contributed to 2017 being the best year so far.

Haha I remember someone telling me Japan sales for ps4 this holiday were even worse considering its up YOY in the rest of the world. I guess it was down in December just like Japan.

Nearly 75 million ps4 sold without big games like GOW,spiderman,rdr2,gt,last of us p2 and gta6.now imagine the sell through number after the release of these games.

Yeah huge year ahead plus all the smaller exclusives they got. Gta 6 is probably October 2020 but it will be absolutely huge especially with ps4 being under $200 by then.

So roughly 38% of total software sales for PS4 occurred in 2017.
Makes sense, just making a note.

"A total of 243.9 million units of software were sold in 2017."

^ that is f***ing crazy, ton of game sales.

1bn is now a lock. It will end up around 1.5bn now by the end of its life. Maybe even higher.

If they had just kept it at $199, or just had better bundles, they could have beat last year's holiday season. Oh well, they'll have more ammo to try to make this year their peak year. Maybe 21M-22M.

They weren't bothered because they'll get those sales next year when it drops again. I'd imagine they'll drop it to $249 and then back to $199 on black Friday. They'll probably leave it at $19 for December aswell though.

Is it likely that PS4 will get a permanent price cut to $199 this year?

Im leaning more towards $249 permanently with $199 during the holidays again.

Agreed. There is no need to go to $199 yet when it's selling so well and with upcoming mega titles like God of war, rdr2 and spiderman coming out.

Yeah... We're not getting a PS5 until 2020.

Good.. The ps4 and ps4 Pro are more then enough. Last thing we need is a new gen. 2020 or 21 please.

32 Million are paying $50 for PS+?
That's $1.6 Billion, BILLION, a year. Just off of PS+.

Good God!

They are swimming in ps plus cash. 32m plus subs from 74m sales. When they hit 100m+ they should be have around 50m subs. That's 2.5BN in cash annually. Holy shit. This aspect of ps4 alone could drive the profits of the company as a whole.
