Nintendo has exclusives that sell as good as those titles you mentioned (on a single platform of course)... Pokémon, 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Animal Crossing, etc. 

Only on Nintendo platforms are exclusives the major driving force behind sales. 

Nintendo's properties drive more sales, yes, but that was never presented as an argument. A consoles's exclsuives will always matter, regardless if they sell like Nintendo's properties or not.

So stop trying to turn things into an us vs them discussion.

No one said it didn't matter, it's just not as important as most of you here seem to think it is... Otherwise sales of these exclusives (Persona 5, Nioh, Nier, etc.) would be A LOT higher. Persona 5 barely scraped past a million.
