2017 was solid year for Xbox One sales in spite of exclusvies.

I've predicted that Xbox One will sell no more than 8m this year even without knowing the problems that it will face throughout the year. So I think it sold pretty solid but still having just the solid year is probably not that great achievement when the rivals are up YoY.
