The problem is 3rd party studios also failed at it.
Quite honestly, the fans are the saving grace. As much as the fans of mediocrity keep trying to poison the well.
I'm just hoping SEGA gets the message. More Sonic mania and get the Sonic utopia team working on 3D Sonic with the help of a small studio.
Aside from that the only other sugestion is to hire Yuji Naka's studio to make it.
There was also a recent hand drawn sprite 2D Sonic that could be like the "Yarn yoshi" of Sonic. (it's called Sonic ages)
But, yes. Enough with Sonic team. Get them working on something else. Get those fan devs on the job. Sonic team can't get there.
