AMD has just released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 alpha driver addresses the crashing/launching issues that some gamers experienced on a variety of DX9 games.

Modder ‘kwstasg’ has released the first version of Unreal VR. Unreal VR is a total conversion of Unreal Gold, that came out in 1998, in Unreal Engine 4 with VR support. The good news here is that Unreal VR can also be played even if you don’t own a VR headset. So yes, while the experience will be greater with a VR headset, PC gamers can finally play some of the original Unreal levels in Unreal Engine 4.

A research team from the University of Cambridge's Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) has launched a Civilization 5 mod that adds superintelligent AI to the 4X colony-builder. By considering how we live and interact with hyper-intelligent bots, the project aims to demonstrate the knock on effects this may have on humanity.

Metacritic has published some really interesting results for 2017. According to its 2017 survey, the PC had more good games than any console in 2017. While there were only three games that scored above 90%, the PC had 40 exclusive games that scored above 75%, offering PC gamers a variety of games to choose from.

Back in 2017, SEGA released on the arcades a new version of its classic Daytona racing game, Daytona Championship USA. However, it appears that the company has included the source code of its full game in the latest update that can be downloaded from its official site. As such, gamers can download it and make it work on the PC via HEX editors.
