When sony studios make game that use all power of home console we have Horizon Zero Dawn on ps4. But with ps4/5 portable, they need to downgrade a lot graphic setting, FPS. resolution and must guarantee the system last 4 -5 hours like you people said. You think they can do that now with a $250 handheld and the impossible battery last 5 or hours?

To meet all requirements you mentioned, no, they could not do that right now early 2018, which is why we have been saying 2019/2020 and why you have been saying it won't be able to compete with Switch 2 or XB2. They most likely wouldn't be able to launch it until mid to late 2019 at the earliest.

I don't disagree with the fact that PS hasn't done as well in the handheld market compared to their consoles, but a hybrid should allow it to be tied into the existing ecosystem, alleviating some of the risk. With PS doing so well, and Switch coming on strong, I don't see PS allowing XB1 to compete directly with PS4, while they watch Switch succeed, potentially even more so than PS4 has, with no direct competition whatsoever.

You also have to ask yourself, if Switch ends up selling 100 million hybrids over 5 or 6 years, will they only stick to hybrids, or will they eventually take a small risk and create a powerful Nin home console using a beefed up semi-custom Tegra? Nvidia has the Shield console and Nintendo already 'copied' the handheld version of it. Why wouldn't they take a stab at the console version if they find massive success with the hybrid as their base? Nvidia doesn't seem to have much of a problem with it at all since they are helping and supplying Nin. If your PS, you want a hybrid that can compete with Switch, just in case Nin tries to take a piece of the console market again, which they could easily do at that point, since it would all end up under the same ecosystem. This would also be great bait to get third parties more interested in Switch. If there was a PS4 to Pro level dedicated "Switch Shield" home console, third parties would be more likely to port to it, and once they do, getting the game on Switch would be a much smaller hurdle at that point. A similar concept to PS4 and Pro.

None of this is guaranteed to happen, but it's all possible. One thing about business and companies are that they very rarely lock up a market then stand still. Just look at any major company and you will see that once they 'own' a particular market, or have grabbed what is available to them, they move onto another market, and usually something similar that isn't to much different than what they know and are good at. You don't see PS/Nin vehicles, just like how you don't see GM/Ford gaming devices. You do see different PS/Nin gaming devices, just like how you see different GM/Ford vehicles.

Nintendo doesn't care about AAA game with cinematic and amazing graphic like Sony. so they have no reason to make another home console. Otherwise, they will fail just like N64, GameCube and Wii U. You think ps4/5 portable will have AAA graphic like Horizon and even more when ps5 come out with price point $250 only which last at least 4-5 hours even in 2020?
