Not sure what kind of impact you're talking about...for example, what's the impact of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on industry and public? Exclusive games that will sell less then Divinity, yet it's on the list due to bias toward consoles on this site.

Divinity stands currently at over 1.1M sold, it's considered by many as one of the best classic CRPGs ever made...going by your reasoning Fallout 1/2, Planescape Torment or Gothic wouldn't be nominated in their respective years if it was up to this site.

Honestly, I don't think Divinity missing from that list has anything to do with it being in niche sub-genre, but more to general lack of knowledge about PC games on this site - if it's not on consoles, it's ignored, unless it's something  that is too big to be ignored, like PUBG.

I think even when PuB was out, it wasn't ignored because people cited it was being worthless trash, just like some on here regard Star Citizen as the scummiest dirtiest scam game in the history of crowdfunding, despite the level of progress being made. That game can come out polished as hell and it'll get ignored and spat on because it's not touching PS4 or X1.

PuB is only really getting attention on here due to X1's performance with it, while the rest go on about Fortnite, mainly because it's on their platforms. I think it rings very true, that if it isn't on a console, it's definitely getting ignored. When it touches a console, then it'll be the talk of the town.

I wonder if they will even pay attention to when Iron Harvest releases, since that's coming to consoles and shows off an RTS with destruction physics.
