I was very pessimistic about the 2018 exclusives overall, but for now, it looks like at least Sea of Thieves is going to be the saving grace. Initially, I thought it was going to lack content, but it looks fleshed out now. Not a great game for me personally, as I prefer single player games, but it looks like it could be a success.
Crackdown is going to be as average as the previous two. Nothing much to see there. I can see it doing Dead Rising 4 numbers.
The biggest problem is State of Decay and the amount of anticipation it has. I don't know how many people played the first game, but 2 looks exactly the same way as 1, which includes animations. This might flop badly outside the core fans of the first game.
Despite all that, all the people writing Xbox off as dead, are dead themselves. Dead wrong that is. MS just brought out a new console, certainly not to be a send off. Besides, they're still raking in money from Live, which is enough to keep them profitable, and that's what matters.
