Not exactly 3.5 but at the end of January 2015 (2 weeks before the launch of Monster Hunter 4Ultimate) the game reached #25 in the monthly chart. So right now we can say they are in the same spot but looking at the record MHW has in amazon i think it can surpass it easily.
PS. The game reached #21 spot in February 2015 which means 2 or 3 weeks in the market.
